Organised by Care Home Manager Claire Saxton and her Team, the afternoon was a huge success.
The day began with decorating the home and garden with balloons and bunting, made by the residents themselves, before welcoming their many guests and friends.
A delicious homemade buffet lunch with a huge choice of cakes and desserts was prepared by chefs Tanya and Jane for everyone to enjoy. And no summer party would be complete without a jug or two of Pimms!
Residents and guests were thoroughly entertained all afternoon by Tony Waller and his Prohibition Jazz Band who played song after song from the 1920’s and 1930’s much to the delight of the residents.
And if guests had room before they departed, they were offered ice creams from Jen’s Ice Cream Van – many of the residents indulged too!
“All in all, the party was a resounding success – great weather, great entertainment and great company” remarked Manager Claire. “I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff at Wolfeton Manor for their help and to everyone for coming along and helping make it such a special day. Here’s to the next one!”.
