Respite and Day Care for individuals living in their own home in the Dorchester/Charminster area of Dorset is one of the most important services that we offer. Carers or family members often need a break to recharge their batteries from the demands of providing 24 hour care, and we are happy to take over the care of yourself or your loved one for any length of time.
This type of care provides a welcome break for families and full time carers as well as allowing future residents the opportunity to experience our great level of care and facilities.
All residents with us for Respite Care in Dorchester are treated as one of our residential residents for the duration of their stay and will receive the same level of person-centred care. Respite visits can vary from just a few hours to a few weeks and repeat visits can be planned ahead of time so holidays can be booked well in advance.
This service is designed to provide the main carer with a break and an opportunity for local people to experience what Wolfeton Manor has to offer.
We would always recommend you come in for a short stay first if you are unsure about moving into our Dorset care home. This way, you can experience firsthand all the benefits, both social and medical, to residing with us at Wolfeton Manor. Respite stays provide future residents with the opportunity to experience the homely environment, quality care services and excellent facilities on offer at our home.
For many care homes, writing comprehensive care plans, keeping them up to date, and communicated with residents’ families can be a time consuming task for care staff. As it is essential, we looked into how we can continue to provide our high level of care whilst ensuring all administration and care planning is kept up to date.
We use Person Centred Software, a fantastic electronic care management system to alleviate pressure on care staff, make documenting care plans quicker and ensure all residents are safe, comfortable and happy.
