Our Team Leader Kara bought in her gorgeous Labrador, Harry for us to meet. He was full of joy and enjoyed all the attention he received from the residents. Thank you, Kara, it was a pleasure having Harry around.
We have been joining together to do some plant potting for the garden, here are John, Jay and Robyn adding some colour to our much-loved garden.
During our last resident's meeting, it was mentioned that they would like to see activities and games set up around the home. This means the residents can play whenever they want without assistance from the staff to set up. So as an addition to our puzzles we now have Connect 4, two scrabble boards, a knitting corner and a box of outdoor equipment ready to go when it warms up.
If you go down to the woods today, You’re sure of a big surprise! We were when we visited Thorncombe Woods and Hardy’s Birthplace Visitor Centre last week.
Following on from last weeks Wildlife update where we had Deer in the garden, we have spotted our red–headed Woodpecker enjoying Win’s birdbath. This is placed in her beautiful patch of garden and always attracts such a huge variety of birds. We also have a pair of ducks who we think return to us every year. We are keeping a look out for some ducklings, we really look forward to this pair returning every spring.
